Garmisch Partenkirchen is situated at the foot of the Zugspitze mountain in Werdenfelser Land, one of the most beautiful holiday resorts in Bavaria. Today the city is among Germany’s most popular winter sports resorts, and in 2011 will host the Ski World Cup.
